The ''Shoot 'em Up Kit'' includes a range of [[Create from a Template|game templates]] to use as a starting point for different styles of game.  The controls, [[Add a Camera|camera]] and [[Add a Player|player]] ship are already in place to make it easier to get started on a game.

The ''Side Scroller'' template is a 2D game with models in the style of games such as Gradius and R-Type.  [[Building the Side Scroller Template|See how we built this template here]].


The player can move up, down, left and right within an area of the screen and always faces right. The player also can fire.


The player and camera move slowly to the right across the level.
