Uses of Sound Cues

Sound Cues contain one or more Sound Items which will be played when the Sound Cue is triggered in-game. Sound Cues could include Gun Fire, Explosion or Background Music.


Add a Sound Cue

To add a Sound Cue to the scene click the Sound Cue icon ToolsMenu08.png on the Tools Menu and the cursor will change to a sound icon. Move the icon to the required position and click to place it.


To move the Sound Cue, use the Move Gizmo, or use the spin controls in the Properties window.


Properties Window

The Properties window will open when a Sound Cue is added or selected:

Properties:

Name Name of the Sound Cue
Position The position of the Sound Cue
Sound The Sound Cue to be played. Click the name to select one.
Enabled Specifies whether the Sound Cue is switched on


Display List of Sound Cues in Level

To get a list of all the Sound Cues in the level, hold down CTRL when clicking the Sound Cue icon ToolsMenu08.png on the Tools menu.
